'Cuz after BTO released Takin' Care of Business and You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet in 1974, music just had nothing left to look forward to. I think that was the year Sweet Home Alabama was released, as well. Apparently this means perfection? I would tend to disagree. But that's just me. Anyhoo. As far as shit that went down in '74, that's the best I could come up with. Oh, and the Ramones formed in '74. Meh.
Actually one COULD argue that rock and roll really reached perfection a year later with the release of Bohemian Rhapsoy and Feel Like Makin Love, but one could ALSO argue that being released in '75 would mean they were likely written in '74, thus marking the date that rock reached perfection.

Yes, 1974. Homer is the Plato of our time.
But why 1974? Explain!
