Psh...Men.

Well, it's been awhile since I updated. It's my last night in Weyburn...ok, I didn't blog much in Weyburn. Mom's keyboard sucks and it hurts my hands to type on it.

So, men are idiots.

Case 1: Andrew

He's been looking for the faceplate for his stereo for 7 weeks now (and that's correct, no matter what he tells you or comments to the contrary). Tonight he comes to my room holding it and says "it was on my computer desk under a piece of paper...and I even moved stuff around on the desk!"

Case 2: Grandpa and Jeremy

Grandma says, "Get the dip out of the fridge."
The boys look and call back "there's no dip in the fridge!"
Grandma says, "It's in a clear container with a green lid!"
The boys look and call back "there's no dip in the fridge!"
Michelle sighs "I'll go look"
1 minute later...
Michelle calls "It's right here...in a clear container with a green lid!!"

My advice to men...the first place to look is right in front of your face.

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas Everyone!!!

Well, the day was ok. Didn't get around to opening the presents until, oh, 11ish...which just shows that we're not a family of little kids anymore. However, I must point out that me and Andrew wanted to open gifts 2 days ago.

Anyway, thanx to everyone for the gifts. But especially thanx to Andrew who got me SCRUBS!!!!!!!! Season 2 on DVD. I'm quite excited to be watching it.

Anyway, not much to talk about. Just didn't want to watch White Christmas AGAIN.

Zelda

Well, I challenged Andrew to beat Zelda: The Ocarina of Time for N64 in 4 hours. I quickly realized that's impossible. The two of us have been trading off playing. Well, there's probably 4 hours of movies alone in this game, not to mention game play. We're starting on hour 4 of playing and we haven't even gotten all 3 stones yet. Well, Andrew's at the boss for Jabu Jabu. And we still have like 7 temples to beat! Man, this is a long game. Usually when I play this game, it takes me about a week. And that's while I'm not going to school or working, just have a week off and play nintendo for about 4 or 5 hours a day. Although each time I play, I'm getting better. I just remember what to do more each time and I just do it.

On another note, I just opened Andrew's little treasure chest that says "Pennies" on it. Well, I found a poppy, some pins, and a scrabble piece (O, worth 1 point). No pennies.

It's only...3 sleeps until Christmas!!! I keep thinking it's on Saturday, so I think I'm going to be quite disappointed when I wake up Saturday morning and it's not Christmas.

Hmmmm...Andrew has the firefighter calendar here in his room...interesting.

Man, Link is one hottie. All the chicks in this game are hot for him! He could get laid in a second!

Home

Well, I guess I could blog. Not doing much right now anyway!

I'm back in Weyburn for the holidays. At the new house. It's weird coming home to a different house. But all in all, no biggie. The house is nice and small. And still seems big to me compared to my 1/2 a basement!! Although they really need to change the colour in this room...puke yellow. Yup, puke yellow.

Went swimming with dad yesterday. Maybe I'll pick that back up again next semester. And I told Joelle I'd go work out with her sometime, which means I need work-out shoes and pants. Yay. So, we'll see what happens next semester I guess. I have a feeling not much will happen as I am once again taking 5 classes and working 30 hours a week.

Got 2 of my marks back. For the classes I'm not worried about. Got a 75% in Theory of Finance and 80% in my entrepreneurship class. So that's all good. Waiting for the other two, but it's a bit soon for those marks to be up.

Anyway, I think I'm going to go make some cookies for the boys. So, I'll blog again later!!

Here ya go

Well, I just finished writing my last final and I work at 5. After that, I'm pretty busy until, oh, Sunday night, so I figured I'd get a post in while I could.

Exams...went terrible. I really need to learn that studying IS necessary. Hahahaha. But at least I'm sure I passed all my classes...I hope.

My hands are sooooo cold right now. They were cold all through my test and they're still cold. And I'm thinking of going to DQ for some ice cream...which would maybe make it worse, but I don't care. hahahaha

I really don't have much to blog about, I just didn't want the "go update!" comments from people.

I'm going home on Monday and it seems mom won't be there...so just me, dad, and the boy. Interesting. We'll raise some hell, oh yeah. I've already been ordered to bake some cookies, so I guess that'll have to get done. Otherwise, I'm just going to sleep and watch Oprah all day. Yup, sounds like a plan.

If anyone has any of these to lend to us over Christmas, we'd really appreciate it!!

Thanx!!!

Quotable Quotes #5

Where's my prize!?

So, I just spent a few minutes reading some old comments that I never quite got to.

There's one from Nathan Binns. I didn't even realize that he reads my blog! So Nathan, this is for you...

WHERE'S MY PRIZE!???? I'll be home on the 19th until next year, so you can give it to me anytime...or give it to Jeremy and he'll give it to me.

Oh, and thanx for reading my blog :)

On a different note, this is my 45th post...The Pylon only got to 44, so as of today, I just surpassed it. Which is surprising because I felt like we wrote way more posts than 44, but that's what my blogger dashboard tells me!

GST

So, I"m at work tonight and this guy comes in. Well, let me set the scene for you here:

S = Shanna, a worker at Subway
CC = Crazy Customer

S = "Your total is $7.05"
Customer pulls out $7 and a handful of change.
S = "I'll take 5 pennies if you want to get rid of them...although maybe you want to keep them so you have one when you need it."
CC = "No, I'll keep them, because I'll invariably need them. In fact, that's the purpose of the GST, to justify the fact that pennies are still manufactured."

OK, last time I checked, the purpose of the GST was to make money.

Man, the shit you hear at Subway from the crazies.

Wow

Ok, I'll admit, I saw this link on The Sneeze. But I'm posting it here for those of you who aren't regular readers of The Sneeze.

It's a video of this house with christmas lights that are synchronized to music. The music is transmitted on fm radio, so as not to bother the neighbours. But I think that if I were this guy's neighbour, the flashing lights would piss me off just as much. Check it out and make sure your speakers are on (not insanely loud or anything...just on).

Check it out here.

Presentation is Done

Well, I just finished my big presentation today. I was taking this class Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management. Basically, you're in a group (we had 5 people in our group) and you make a business plan for a small business venture. Our group did a wedding planning business. Today was the final day. We had a presentation worth 10% of our mark and had to hand in the final business plan which was worth 45% of the mark.

Basically, I was in charge of the financials...all 28 pages of them. So, I was all freaking out about the question period after our presentation. And what did they ask about...the financials....nothing else. I got slammed. I was ready to cry and the other girls are just sitting there because they don't know what the hell was going on with the financials. So yeah...I got into some arguments with the panel members and then it was finally over. Then we of course went to Louis' (the bar!!) and had a drink.

So yeah...I'm just glad that it's over. Now, I have a final tomorrow, one next Thursday, and on next Friday. And that's it.

So, I should be studying now...am I?? No. Should I be??? Yes. I hate studying.

Imagine

"Imagine all the people, living for today."
-John Lennon

What do you think?? Should we live for today, or live for tomorrow?

I think we should live for today. Sure, I plan for the future, because I want there to be another today. But overall, I would say that I live for today. That's why I procrasinate. Because I want today. I don't want to do my work so that I have tomorrow. I want today, and I'll worry about tomorrow once it becomes today.

What's everyone else's thoughts?
